The Michael Reasonover Story
2012 Tour Trade 3 $5,000 Grand Prize Winner!
This year's Tour Trade 3 winner, Michael Reasonover, had reason to cheer when Justin Rose dropped a 15 foot putt on the 18th and final hole of the Tour Championship on September 23rd. The par gave Rose a second place finish, and it gave Reasonover the margin he needed to take home the $5,000.00 Cash Grand Prize.

Reasonover's "These Guys Are Good" team barely edged out Chief Illini 1. The $7,410 margin was one of the closest in Tour Trade history. "If Rose had missed the putt and tied for 2nd, I would not have won", exclaimed the 57 year old Fire Captain from Smyrna, TN.

Reasonover had a decision to make on Saturday morning, September 22nd, the last chance to make changes to his team. "The guy in front of me had Jim Furyk, and I knew if I bought him that I would not be able to pass him", explained Reasonover, "so I decided to go with Justin Rose". It turned out to be a game changing decision!

Reasonover has been playing Tour Trade fantasy golf for over 12 years and his best previous finish had been 25th overall. His first place finish in Tour Trade 3 vaulted him to 44th overall in the Super Challenge. When asked how he was able to turn his fantasy golf season around in Tour Trade 3, Reasonover said he was able to get a better feel for which golfers would be playing better from Tour Trades 1 and 2. "It was a matter of picking up the right golfers at the right time", he remarked, "and my pick up of Nick Watney when he won was also a key to the victory". Other timely pickups also helped Reasonover. His team was led by Rory McIlroy, Brandt Snedeker, Tiger Woods, Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott, but it was Rose who really propelled Reasonover to victory.
