The Larry Rigler Story
2013 Fantasy Cup - Circuit 1 $10,000 Grand Prize Winner!
Larry Rigler has a very impressive fantasy sports resume. He earned a spot in the CDM Fantasy Sports Hall Of Fame in 2001 with a Basketball Challenge Championship. He has won many leagues and has had many top 100 finishes. So, he had a lot of experience on his side as he managed his "Fast Dudes" 2013 Fantasy Cup - Circuit 1 team to a victory this year.

"I started off really poorly, and I was way behind the leaders," he remembered. "I was really surprised that I had a chance to win it all." "I had a couple of really good weeks, followed the trends of what was happening with the drivers, and I was able to catch up to the leaders," he remarked. The 54 year old, who lives in the Cincinnati suburbs and works in the trucking industry, said his wife got really excited when they realized he had won $10,300.00. He noted that his prize winnings came in handy, as he needed a new roof for his house.

When asked about his strategy, Larry said that he studies the history of the drivers on the different race tracks. "In most of the fantasy games I play, I try not to waste buys on early picks, and look for the sleepers," he responded. "In racing, it is more about following the trends and going with the drivers who are going well."

Key drivers for Larry's team were Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Michael Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr. "I think luck has a little to do with winning," Larry surmised. "Your drivers have to avoid wrecks and keep their cars running at top performance. I used the Rotowire news site to get information on the driver's history on the tracks, and it proved to be very helpful to me." A lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan, Larry confesses to baseball being his favorite fantasy sport. But, he observed, "I really enjoy them all, and Fantasy Cup Auto Racing is a lot fun. The results were great!"
